We are Conservative Friends of the Ocean—a grassroots organisation uniting ocean experts and enthusiasts from across the UK Conservative Party.
Covering more than 70% of our planet, the ocean is the beating heart of our global ecosystem. It provides food for billions, drives trade and cultural exchange, and plays a vital role in regulating our climate. A thriving ocean means a thriving planet.
As a proud island nation with a deep maritime heritage, the UK has always had a special bond with the sea. That’s why we work alongside Conservative MPs, Lords, Councillors, and grassroots members to advocate for policies that protect our ocean, support coastal communities, and drive innovation in the blue economy.
